Sam Hodges from umnews.org recently visited United Methodist Church of the Pines to see our new church plant and get to know our church family. He spoke to Reverend Neff and several church members to find out what makes our new church community such a special place to worship.
The article and photos highlight Reverend Neff's spirit of faith and devotion, and his journey back from his double lung transplant to lead our new church as we work to maintain the United Methodist presence in Southeast Texas--a presence that seeks to remind that ALL people are welcome at the Lord's Table.
From the article, "The joy the United Methodist Church of the Pines folks feel at worshipping together is clear during the service — and afterward.
“Nobody leaves,” said Luanne Talbot. “Everybody just wants to be together and talk.”"
